It specialized in developing software to port games to other platforms such Linux, Macintosh, Xbox, PlayStation 2, and PSP. The headquarters were located in Toronto, with offices in Ottawa and Atlanta. TransGaming was especially known for its Cider portability engine that allows PC games to be enabled on Apple's Intel Macs without redevelopment from the ground-up.
