What Checkpoint20 is
Checkpoint20 is a game-tracking community: you keep a library of games you have played or want to play, score them, write reviews, and build lists. By creating an account or using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Checkpoint20.
Your account
You sign in with an email address (magic link) or a Google account, and you pick a username that identifies you across the site. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to your sign-in email secure. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Checkpoint20.
Your content
Reviews, scores, notes, lists, bios, and images you upload remain yours. By posting publicly on Checkpoint20 you give us permission to store, display, and distribute that content as part of running the site (for example showing your review on a game's page, or your list on the community boards). Content you mark private is shown only to you.
You can delete your content at any time, and deleting your account removes your library, reviews, lists, and profile.
Acceptable use
Be a decent member of the community. Do not use Checkpoint20 to harass or threaten people, post spam or malware, impersonate others, scrape the site at abusive volume, attempt to break or overload the service, or post content that is illegal where you or we operate. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
Game data
Game titles, artwork, and metadata come from third-party sources (currently IGDB) and belong to their respective rights holders. Checkpoint20 displays them to identify games, not as a claim of ownership.
The service
Checkpoint20 is provided as-is, without warranties. We work to keep it available and your data safe, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for losses arising from using the site, to the extent the law allows. We may change or discontinue features as the product evolves.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a meaningful way we will update the effective date above and, for significant changes, say so on the site. Continuing to use Checkpoint20 after a change means you accept the new terms.
See also our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data.
