YIIK I.V (1.5) is a free update which is serves as the definitive edition of YIIK: A Postmodern RPG, originally released in 2019. An unusual error manifests on April 4th, a day that echoes the enigmatic code 404. In a desperate act of innocence, a child relinquishes her name for an invitation to a birthday party, her hope tethered to the faint possibility of finding her brother. Meanwhile, Alex, a recent college graduate, returns home, only to find his reality unspooling like a threadbare tapestry. Guided by a cat which slips through the very fabric of his mind, Alex descends into the depths of his consciousness where he witnesses the impossible: a woman, locked away in an iron maiden, vanishing into thin air. A vision which ignites an undying obsession and threatens to unravel the boundaries of his world.
YIIK is a colourful 3D Japanese-Style RPG set in the 1990s and based around a mystery in a small town. Recent college graduate Alex Eggleston gathers weirdos from the internet to investigate the mystery around Sammy Pak, a mysterious woman who goes missing in a supernatural event. The player can control the characters in turn based battles where normal everyday objects are used as weapons. The combat consists of turn based moves with timing based actions which can increase the damage of an attack. There are six dungeons to explore which include battles, puzzles which have to be solved, and traps that have to be avoided. There are approximately twenty five hours of gameplay.
